ChatGPT supports custom MCP apps or connectors where developer mode and custom MCP access are available for your plan or workspace.

Add the app or connector

  1. Open ChatGPT settings for your account or workspace.
  2. Enable developer mode if your plan requires it.
  3. Create a custom app or connector.
  4. Provide the Advisor Connect MCP endpoint:
https://mcp.brightplace.ai/mcp
  1. Choose the available authentication mechanism. If OAuth is available, complete the BrightPlace consent flow.
  2. Save the app or connector.
  3. Enable it in the conversation where you want to use BrightPlace tools.
For Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspaces, admins or owners may need to create and publish the app before members can use it.

Test it

Ask ChatGPT: 
Use BrightPlace Connect to find pet-friendly one-bedroom apartments in Austin under $2,400.
Then ask: 
Show details for the best match and check whether tours are available this week.
The expected tool sequence is search_listings, get_listing, and then get_tour_availability.

Safety prompts

ChatGPT may ask you to confirm write or action-style tool calls. book_tour submits a tour request, so review the renter name, email, phone, listing, and slot before allowing the action.
